Taste of Henry began ten years ago as an epicurean fundraiser for A Friend's House, Henry County's home for abused, neglected, and abandoned children. The facility operates as both temporary and long-term placement for children in crisis.

The support of Henry County citizens helped build A Friend's House over twelve years ago. The dream is still moving forward; In 2006, construction was completed on an expansion that doubled the size of the shelter. This expansion includes a 12-bed adolescent wing, office space, and much needed storage areas. The facility provides around-the-clock care for up to 24 newborn to 18-year-old residents daily who are referred to us by the Department of Family and Children's Services or the Department of Juvenile Justice.
Approximately 46% of the revenues of A Friend's House come from citizens like you in the community. The children need our ongoing support and generosity. Since A Friend's House opened its doors in 1998, it has served over 1625 children.
A Friend's House is dedicated to meeting the emotional and physical needs of children in crisis. Please join us in our efforts to improve the lives of these special children. They need your help now more than ever! Please visit the website for A Friend's House to find out how you can help.
